“ We can’t fault the service and work done by LPR to refinish and update our tired and dilapidated pool. Andrew listened to what we wanted to achieve with the overall renovation of our pool and worked with us to ensure that the outcome was exactly what we had envisaged. Andrew kept us updated throughout the process and explained the timeline and what was expected at each stage. We are very pleased with the end result and are loving our now new and fresh looking pool. We highly recommend LPR (Andrew and his crew) to anyone looking to do a quality pool renovation. “ Kath, Rowville

What is Pool Pebble Resurfacing?

Described as an Ultra-Smooth & fine Pebble, it is a cement based pool render, a smooth non-slip pool interior that outlasts many other rendered pool surfaces. Relining a swimming pool with a pebble interior is only possible on concrete pools. Pebble interiors are used to resurface concrete pools, normally to replace marblesheen & quartzon swimming pool interiors.

Pebble plaster - pool resurfacing is a luxurious choice that does its job.

When it comes to relining a swimming pool, consider the elegance and durability of a pebble plaster finish. These materials are a blend of tiny, specially sourced natural stones with a cement base.

Here’s why resurfacing should grab your attention:

Aesthetic Appeal: Pebble finishes create a stunning, long-lasting interior with a distinctive appearance and texture.

Versatility: You can choose from variety of pool render colours to match or contrast your swimming pool’s surroundings.

Durability: It is the longest lasting pool interior render available.

When should a pool be resurfaced?

A pool should be resurfaced when the existing interior starts to deteriorate, discolour or lose integrity, black & green algae can begin forming and water chemistry often becomes harder to control. If the interior no longer looks good or performs properly, resurfacing is the correct solution.

Quartzon interiors tends to come off by rubbing it, round cracked areas might appear and some quartzon may even come off as small hand sized circles.

Marble-sheen may also crumble a little, become rough or discoloured and the concrete might start showing through.

If a swimming pool is over 20 years old, that may also be an indication of needing to resurface the pool interior.

3.5 Star Maintenance Rating Fine pebble pool interiors require ongoing, routine maintenance to keep them looking their best over time. This is normal for all rendered pool interiors and is part of owning a high-quality swimming pool interior. While fine pebble is the most durable rendered interior available, fully tiled pools remain the lowest-maintenance and longest-lasting interior option overall.

What is the best colour for my pool?

The best colour for your pool is the one that gives you the water tone you want in your backyard — so decide first whether you want a lighter, brighter look or a deeper, darker look. Once you pick light vs dark, the exact shade becomes much easier, because many colours look very similar once the pool is filled. The final water colour will shift with pool depth, lighting, surrounding surfaces, and whether it’s indoors or outdoors, so use online images as a guide and rely on the real samples for the most accurate expectation.

How Pool Interior Colours Look When Filled With Water

Swimming pool interior colours can vary depending on lighting, pool depth, surrounding surfaces and whether the pool is indoors or outdoors.

Screen displays can also affect how colours appear, so the examples shown should be used as a general guide only.

The images below demonstrate how different pool interior colours change once the pool is filled with water.
